Description
This
diploma is vocationally based with a strong emphasis on
creative design skills and technical proficiency, designed
to prepare trainee for a variety of employment in the
Graphic Design Industry. The Diploma has been developed with
both the Graphic Design and Printing Industries, and
includes the skill requirements nominated by industry.
Course Outline
The principles required to solve graphic
design problems. Using industry standard software and
related programs.

Course 1: Color Separation
The course presents the various techniques,
both traditional and electronic, of prepress preparation for
printing.

Course 2: Adobe Photoshop CS
The professional image-editing standard.
Photoshop delivers a comprehensive environment for
professional designers and graphics producers to create
sophisticated images for print, and other media. Moreover,
Photoshop provides a consistent work environment.

Course 3: Corel Draw 11
Corel Corporation has helped to redefine the
parameters of creativity with the introduction of powerful
graphics and productivity tools.
§
Course 4: Macromedia Freehand MX
The course provides trainees with the
knowledge and hands-on practice they need to create and
publish sophisticated vector-based graphics.
§
Course 5: Quark Express 6
The student will learn the basics of the
complex Quark Express interface and learn how to create
simple documents in Quark.
